Night at the Museum

For this lapbook I decided to use both of the movies for Night at the Museum. I tried to use all the characters from the movies that existed in history. I printed off pictures for each person, place, or animal and I made a little book behind each one. I asked questions in the book like: Birth, Death, greatest accomplishments, wars, weapons, size, etc.

This was a really long lapbook so it took us two weeks. But I believe that this was my son’s favorite lapbook so far. He asked a lot of questions and wanted to do extra research for each book.

I hope you enjoy it too.

Magic Tree House (Mummies in the Morning) Lapbook

Cody’s favorite parts of this lapbook were learning about the plagues in the bible and how mummies were made.   He hated the word search, so he just had to do a few of the words.

The last time we talked about the beliefs that the Egyptians had or have he refused to listen [...]

Cody wants to be a police officer when he gets older. I know that because he has autism they might not hire him. But just in case I am wrong I tell him he needs to be prepared. With this lapbook he learned a lot about being a police officer. He thought it [...]

What Do You Live For?

Beth Moore said something that really stuck with me today. “What do you live for?” This question went over and over in my head and here is what I thought about.

I live for Jesus.

I live for the moments I hear God.

I live for the hugs my son gives me.

I  live [...]

This week our lapbook was on Magic Tree House, The Knight at Dawn.

On the first section is a coloring page of the knight from the book. I had him label the different parts of its armor.

Safety Lapbook

I worry about Cody’s safety and his ability to understanding what to do in emergencies. We have worked on safety issues every year but this was the first lapbook. He seemed to grasp more information this way.

On the first page I placed pictures and a sheet on his address. He doesn’t remember [...]

Today I had a real humbling experience. I don’t know about you but I have a hard time admitting when I am wrong. And this time I was soooooo wrong.

On my last post I got on my high and mighty horse and wrote how my family was going to eat this way because [...]

This isn’t anything like the sock monster in are dryer who always seems to take one sock of the pair, not [...]

Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark Lapbook

This week we used the book Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark for our lapbook. We actually learned a lot by doing this. We did a lot of research online and made sure the information aligned with the bible.

The bottom picture with the Dinosaurs and Ark says “And of every living [...]
